Guangxi University, established in 1928, is a regional comprehensive university with the longest history and largest scale. Being the only National 211-Project Key Construction University in Guangxi and the co-administrative university by both the national Ministry of Education and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, it has also been selected as a construction university within "First-class Discipline Project " and "National Plan to Promote the Comprehensive Strength of Midwest Colleges and Universities".As one of the 66 universities in China certified by the Ministry of Education to recruit international students, it started to accept international students in 1961.
