Sichuan Normal University (SICNU), as a provincial key university, is among the first to carry out the national “Basic Capacity Building Project in Colleges & Universities in Mid-western China”. It’s the first normal university to undertake the basic undergraduate normal education in Sichuan Province.
The establishment of SICNU (founded in 1946 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in the northeast of China) was directly connected with North Eastern University (NEU), which moved to Santai County of Sichuan Province in the earlier days in the Anti-Japanese War.
