The benefits of IELTS One Skill Retake and much more will be showcased at this year’s EAIE conference in Rotterdam. The team behind IELTS will be on hand to answer questions at stand D31 between 26-29 September.
IELTS One Skill Retake is an alternative to retaking all four sections of IELTS and gives test takers the option to retake any one section of the test where they need to improve (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking).
This new feature gives applicants another opportunity to meet organisations’ English language requirements without the need to take a complete test again and without compromising on IELTS’ high-stakes test quality.
Speaking in the run up to EAIE, Anna Minett from Cambridge University Press & Assessment said:
‘We know how important it is for universities to recruit students with the appropriate level of English and IELTS One Skill Retake is a fantastic way to help them achieve this. It gives students who may have struggled with a particular skill more flexibility to get up to speed. This not only helps to boost test takers’ confidence, but it also provides a helping hand to universities around the world when carrying out their student recruitment programmes.’
During the event, which brings together thousands of higher education professionals, the IELTS team will host ‘Coffee Break Chats’ where delegates can ask questions about One Skill Retake. IELTS is also sponsoring the EAIE opening reception which will include a chance to win a limited-edition Rotterdam print.
IELTS is trusted by over 11,500 organisations worldwide and has over 30 years of English language testing experience and research.
